<teaser>Since 1945, many well known artists have been invited to create the label for this top Bordeaux maker - this year it's Bernar Venet.

From the Bordeaux Wine Experience Newsletter "Venet is known for his steel "lines", which combine the strict geometry of straight lines and curves with random coils. His creations are found in the United States, Germany, Japan and in France.
Artists have their artistic freedom while creating the label. But most artist are attracted by themes like the vine, the pleasure of drinking or the Mouton Rothschild ram.
Bernar Venet created for Mouton arcs suggesting the swell of a barrel. The arcs look like chalices rooted in the earth. They seem to open like the vines, to the precious gifts from above..."

<teaser>A few months back, good friends Glenn and Gayle Cook and Bob and Cathy Janis were having dinner at the Cook Family Vineyards in the Napa Valley.
One of the wines they enjoyed was sealed with the Vino Seal glass stopper. At one point, the dinner conversation turned to the Glass Ceiling encounters the two career women had faced in their working lives.
The next day, Bob was reflecting on the pleasant evening and the light bulb went on. He called Glenn and suggested they create a label to honor their wives and make use of the stylish glass closure they had seen on the dinner wine.
The result: Glass Ceiling Sauvignon Blanc.

<teaser>This is our best selling wine. It has won 5 international awards since its release in August of 2008 plus the label won Artistic Achievement Award from Taster's Guild. It has a HUGE bold flavor and is finished quite sweet with no oak. Very unique. Since most of you reading this are probably not from Minnesota, I have included some background information that will hopefully help you understand and enjoy this label more.

HOT DISH RED: Here in Minnesota, casseroles are called “Hot Dishes” and are the food that most Minnesotans grew up eating. Each region of Minnesota has its specialty Hot Dish and rare is the family gathering that doesn’t include one or two. We felt producing a wine to specifically pair with our unofficial state food was long overdue. In addition, since most Hot Dish recipes are calibrated for 12 plus servings, we were especially pleased to see how well this wine served with left-overs.
